7-Eleven Snacks to Try in Thailand for Kids

You’ve made it to Thailand!  And you’ve heard about all the wonderful street food in Thailand!  But there is another store on almost every street corner that you weren’t expecting to see so much of.  It’s 7-Eleven, and there are an overwhelming amount of snack options to try!  This is a perfect go to place for your kids, and you! Where should you start?

Here are a list of favorite snacks and what to expect:

7-11 Entrance Thailand

 1. Pandan Bun (Thai Custard Filled Bun)

The bakery section gets replenished each day and you can find all sorts of different individually wrapped bread items.  The Little Kid’s favorite is the pandan bun.  Pandan is a grass grown in Thailand that is used to flavor food.  It also dyes the food it flavors GREEN!  Which makes a simple bun a lot more exciting for a kid because of the green custard inside!

2. Spicy Fish Roll Sticks

Fish sticks in Thailand are a completely different food than the fish sticks meal found in North America, which is breaded fish meat.  Fish sticks in Thailand is packaged dehydrated fish mix that has been cut into thin strips to eat as a snack.  It is definitely a snack to try!  Even my picky eater who won’t eat cooked fish for dinner will eat fish sticks.

This snack is Big Kid’s favorite choice at 7-eleven.  But he has a warning about this specific flavor – it’s SPICY!  If you like spicy food, you will love these fish snacks!

3. French Fry Chips with Ketchup

French fries are a well-known kid food.  Usually served hot with a meal, Thailand has made it into a snack on the go!  This is Tween’s favorite snack to get at 7-eleven.  The French fries are crispy and thin.  The extra fun for kids is that each bag comes with a ketchup pack inside, making it more like regular French fries!  This makes it a harder snack to eat, but if you are on the run, you can just skip the ketchup and enjoy the French fries.

4. Korean BBQ Drumstick Biscuits (Lotus brand)

These drumstick biscuits come in two main flavors – Korean BBQ and Hot & Spicy.  They’re crunchy and addicting!  These are The Teenager’s favorite snack choice in 7-eleven. In the words of The Teenager: “The chicken wing crackers are scrumptious. The bag seems smallish but always lasts wayyy longer than I expect. The Hot & Spicy flavored drumstick biscuits are my usual go-to snack at 7-eleven because they aren’t overwhelmingly spicy but are hot enough to satisfy my craving for spiciness. I don’t know why else they are so good, but they are definitely worth a try.

  1. Hi just wanted to give you a quick heads
up and let you know a few of the pictures aren’t loading properly.
I’m not sure why but I think its a linking issue.
I’ve tried it in two different web browsers and both show the same outcome.
