When on the run throughout the city or around the country, a quick and easy bite to get is at 7-eleven. In fact, there are so many options for on-the-go lunches, it is one of our top choices when driving long distances on highways.
There are hot and cold options:
Hot lunch
Full microwavable meals
You will find microwavable meals in both the freezer section and the open refrigerator section. Unlike the grocery store where you take them home, 7-11 will heat them right there for you! Take the meal out of the freezer or refrigerator and take it up to the cashier. Pay for the meal and then they will ask if you want it heated. In Thai it will sound like wave?. Then wait for them to microwave it for you and give it to you hot.
There are a few options of delicious food that 7-11 will heat up for you, ranging from hotdogs, gyoza (dumplings), Thai dishes, to Indian Chicken Tikka Masala.
Sandwich press
In the open refrigerator shelves, you will find sandwiches in bags hanging up. These are also meant to be taken to the front counter, but instead of the microwave, the cashier uses a sandwich press.
Ramen
You can buy cups of ramen in the noodle aisle. Once you pay for the cup, they can take it in the back and fill it up with hot water.
Before moving onto cold lunch options, I do want to mention that there are also a few 7-elevens that have meals that can be prepared at the front where you order up at the cashier.

Bread Items
7-11 has a bakery aisle with individual packaged breads. The packaged breads include buns, toasts, muffins, and bread with shredded meat inside. Some stores also have a small bakery area with fresh baked goods that you can grab with tongs and put into a bag.
In the refrigerator shelves, there are cold sandwiches to pick up.
Rice Items
Along with the bread sandwiches, you can also find rice sandwiches!! These are a fun variety, with the sticky rice being the outside layer instead of bread.
Other rice options involve onigiri, the triangle rice ball with seaweed, and kimbap sets with different meat options inside.
A few honorable mentions that my kids who are picky eaters eat:
Hard-boiled eggs
Packets of tuna with crackers
Yogurt
